About these terms
These terms cover your use of this website. They are not the terms for electrical work. Those are set out in the written quotation and terms of business you receive from KS Electrical before any work is agreed.
The guidance published here
The guides and service pages on this site are written to be accurate and genuinely useful, and are kept up to date. They are general information, not advice about your specific property.
Every installation differs, the supply, the earthing arrangement, the condition of the existing wiring and the layout of the building all change what is appropriate. Nothing here should be treated as a substitute for having someone competent inspect and test your actual installation, and none of it is an instruction to carry out electrical work yourself.
Where we describe regulations, grants or statutory requirements, those change. We update these pages when we become aware of changes, but you should confirm the current position from the official source before relying on it, GOV.UK for grants and Building Regulations, and BS 7671 for wiring regulations.
Quotations and prices
Nothing on this website is a quotation or an offer to carry out work at a particular price. We deliberately don't publish prices for installations, because the price depends on the property. A quotation is only binding once it is issued in writing for your specific job.
Enquiries sent through this site
Sending an enquiry doesn't create a contract and doesn't book any work. We'll reply as soon as we can, but no response time is guaranteed, if something is urgent, please ring.
Please don't use the form to report a dangerous situation. If you can smell burning, see scorching, or anyone has had a shock, switch the circuit off at the consumer unit and ring us.
Availability
We aim to keep the site available and correct, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or remove content at any time.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs and design of this site belong to KS Electrical unless stated otherwise. The photographs are of our own work. Please don't reproduce them without asking, but do link to any page here freely.

Governing law
